^ hey you were really into the ps2 era mortal kombat games, yeah? did you get the new one?

i've been so broke for the past year so i've missed out on a lot. there's actually been a lot of really great and forward eastern games released for consoles, like catherine and shadows of the damned.

as for the poll i guess i will have to for pc since my favorite game ever was for it (elder scrolls iii: morrowind), as well as the game i've logged the most hours on for the past years (left 4 dead 2).

edit: shit i just voted for "phones" by accident...

My pick would be the PC. But I stopped buying new games in 2001 or 2002. I lost a little bit of interest and I don't like most of the recent releases. They are technically great but I don't like the style of them. Too much use of colour and effects and therefore less room for your own imagination. And they don't give me the feeling of actually playing, but more like pushing the "next scene" button in an interactive movie. You know, "quick time events" and such things which may look nice that's it.
When graphic cards and things like that were still much more limited and game developers had to use special effects very carefully, it was much more fascinating. When after hours of playing you finally got to see some mirror reflection effect you were like "Wooaaahhhh!". They had to put more thought into the artistic side of presentation. Like colour contrasts. Nowadays it looks more like the developers try to use the whole colour range and every available effect in every scene. It becomes boring very quickly.
So when I play computer, which is rare these days, I am still playing old classics from the mid/end 90s

. At the moment I am playing "Blade Runner" again, an adventure game from 1997.

I enjoyed my GameBoy (the first one without a colour display), too, when I was a kid. And a little bit of Commodore C64.
Interesting to see where the movement detection thing (Wii, Kinect) will head to.

three days ago i restarted the metroid prime trilogy for the second time (i haven't played in a while, and now i suck).
i'm not a big gamer, though.
but i love zelda

and every single "tales of... " game that i've played.

My top 5 "weapons" of choice: Ike, Pokemon Trainer, Lucario, King Dedede, Link (yeah most of my picks are silly but I can use them well =P)

I prefer Link's boomerang to Toon Link's. But Toon Link tends to be far more agile, especially in the air. Plus I love the cartoon explosions of his bombs (because I am easily amused). =] I like using Toon Link as well. I usually just play with randomly picked characters, because I love playing with any (except for Pit... Can't stand Pit).

I'm not that good at gaming.

I love playing on my SNES. Super mario is about the most difficult I can get.

I like my PC to play my old tomb raider games. They still scare the wits out of me. I'm such a baby.

I like the xbox360 but I dont have one. Love playing multiplayer on halo and running around killing each other hee hee
