You get idiots at any gig, but yeah, you'd think Björk fans would be a little bit more liberal.why would people make fun of arca for dressing provocatively... they've paid to see a bjork concert. can we have a moment to let that sink in. urgh why do these people even bother coming?
i consider myself incredibly openminded and absolutely nothing phases me but i still find arca's aesthetic obnoxious and gross...i think it's a matter of taste, not shock value. he dresses like a tool imo. he's asking for itwhy would people make fun of arca for dressing provocatively... they've paid to see a bjork concert. can we have a moment to let that sink in. urgh why do these people even bother coming?
maybe, and i respect your taste, but usually people trying to focus on the music are definitely not asking for loud comments of others about what clothes they find gross.i consider myself incredibly openminded and absolutely nothing phases me but i still find arca's aesthetic obnoxious and gross...i think it's a matter of taste, not shock value. he dresses like a tool imo. he's asking for itwhy would people make fun of arca for dressing provocatively... they've paid to see a bjork concert. can we have a moment to let that sink in. urgh why do these people even bother coming?
I felt that too! The tesla gave a whole new dimension to that track for me - really emphasised the frustration that comes with being with someone non-commitalyeah but it sounds incomplete without the tesla, or at least a haxan baseline in it's placeThose vids are great, somebody plase download them in HD before you-know-what-record-label put them down, I'll try tomorrow.
BTW that Possible Maybe was nice with her near Manu, a total nostalgia
just rolling their eyes, trying not to laugh etci enjoyed the show and she was in great form but to me this setlist was almost monotonous. after the vulnicura arc of 5 songs, she mostly focused on confrontational / self-sufficience songs - which makes sense i guess, although i wished she could include some of her softer, quieter side as well.
also i have to say the crowd around me didn't make it easy to focus on the music. people dissing arca for his outfit, making weird faces at the long chords in "black lake", jumping on each other's shoulders and moshing, arrgh. i hope her next album and tour will be more about concert halls than festivals.
what do you mean "making weird faces"?
i thought she said "can you sing?"Alsooooo, I forgot to ask.
Before Hyperballad she said "we have one more song" then something else. I heard "...and some news" but she didn't say anything after the song ended. Any idea what she actually said before the last song?
urrrrrrgh who ARE these people?!just rolling their eyes, trying not to laugh etci enjoyed the show and she was in great form but to me this setlist was almost monotonous. after the vulnicura arc of 5 songs, she mostly focused on confrontational / self-sufficience songs - which makes sense i guess, although i wished she could include some of her softer, quieter side as well.

There were definitely some real idiots in the crowd - the dickheads behind us barged past people repeatedly, nearly knocked me over several times, gyrated against my back & grabbed my hips, tried to start a moshpit during Black Lake(!)...and eventually got thrown out (to a round of applause ). I generally found the crowd to be less lively than other Bjork gigs I've been to though, not nearly as much singing and dancing :/also i have to say the crowd around me didn't make it easy to focus on the music. people dissing arca for his outfit, making weird faces at the long chords in "black lake", jumping on each other's shoulders and moshing, arrgh. i hope her next album and tour will be more about concert halls than festivals.
There's one comingI'm surprised the Guardian haven't done a 1,000 word review because they love her.

It's very -ish, seems like neon yellow it's overI so wanna know what she is wearing
Anyone else see her running about the arena during soundcheck? I nearly died.
Yes! I was there too, I could see her from my window, also behind the stage. You wouldn't happen to have been in room 211 or 215 or something? I saw two windows down from me a window open with someone filming the soundcheck with a camera phone while I was standing at the window on the phone with my husband.Anyone else see her running about the arena during soundcheck? Yes we did. Wearing a black ensemble she was... Arms up messing about with Arca. .
Our hotel was right there, behind the stage, so we heard a good few songs being sound-checked whilst Björk was at the sound-desk.
Amazing show. . . Thanks so much, B

We were in Rm 206 or 208.. it was on the road side, but we could still hear Notget, Hunter, WITL, Family and Possibly Maybe quite clearly being sound-checked.Yes! Did you hear Mouth Mantra? I swear that's the exact moment the weather turned, just before the rain started. So damn atmospheric! (We were stood on the balcony outside the hotel bar)We were in Rm 206 or 208.. it was on the road side, but we could still hear Notget, Hunter, WITL, Family and Possibly Maybe quite clearly being sound-checked.
Before that, we were in Manchester Central and were walking back to the hotel down Liverpool Road... All the way up the street we could hear rumblings of music and as we got a little closer, we could hear it was the music of Stonemilker.. My whole body goosebumped, big grin and a few tears started.. it was a precursor to my condition for the rest of the evening. Absolute magic !!
