don't say that!but wasn't it said all old site stuff is gone for good and forever? o did i dream that?
i asked several times to have the material to re-open the section Q+A but got no answerwell i didn’t mean to be a downer but i remember mod saying something about the server?
but you shouldn’t be this nostalgic![]()
bjork.com is a 4um and a shop, basically... with sporadic official news
for everything else, i guess there are other websites / social media sites out there, like bjork.fr, 77ísland, discogs, biophiliaeducational.org ...
i don’t think we’re missing that much.
a new Q+A would be nice though.
I agree with you. You’re points are legit but you also have to have in mind that bjork.com is first and foremost, Björk’s website. Hers. Not really ours. And that it’s not something isolated from her musical work. Like everything else she does.
There is a difference in what we might expect /want as fans and the message Björk is really willing to give with it. It’s like saying the artwork / booklets of her releases should be stuck with MeCo because they were better, while Björk might prefer working with M/M Paris or someone else instead because she finds they suit her current work better.
I’m sure Lina was great and all, but it was also a website run by a fan, with the dedication of a fan, at VERY different times of the internet, which Björk thought it needed a change at the time of Biophilia (to be in accordance with the apps, etc.)
I believe the revamp the site had for Vulnicura was exactly for the same reason.
Of course, the outcome of that decision is debatable. And IMO, the inclusion of the early stuff wouldn’t do any harm (except coming across a dead link here and there and the juxtaposition of styles). But if it is not there, I believe it’s for a reason...
At least, that's my view![]()
Maybe Mod can tell exactly why it’s not there anymore?
errr. did you just creeped into mod's instagram and edited this photo?

Mod, do you know if robots.txt was purposefully placed onto the specials/unit.bjork to exclude Wayback Machine from the site? None of the specials seem to work, and this has never happened before to my knowledgeHow can I have my site's pages excluded from the Wayback Machine?
You can exclude your site from display in the Wayback Machine by placing a robots.txt file on your web server that is set to disallow User-Agent: ia_archiver. You can also send an email request for us to review to info@archive.org with the URL (web address) in the text of your message.
Why isn't the site I'm looking for in the archive?
Some sites may not be included because the automated crawlers were unaware of their existence at the time of the crawl. It's also possible that some sites were not archived because they were password protected, blocked by robots.txt, or otherwise inaccessible to our automated systems. Site owners might have also requested that their sites be excluded from the Wayback Machine.
How do you protect my privacy if you archive my site?
The Archive collects Web pages that are publicly available, the same ones that you might find as you surfed around the Web. We do not archive pages that require a password to access, pages that are only accessible when a person types into and sends a form, or pages on secure servers. Pages tagged for robots.txt exclusion (for User-Agent: ia_archiver) by their owners are excluded from the Wayback Machine. We also provide information on removing a site from the collections. Those who use the collections must agree to certain terms of use.
Some sites are not available because of robots.txt or other exclusions. What does that mean?
Such sites may have been excluded from the Wayback Machine due to a robots.txt file on the site or at a site owner’s direct request.
The Internet Archive strives to follow the Oakland Archive Policy for Managing Removal Requests And Preserving Archival Integrity

I asked OLI to have the material to republish it (here: http://bjorknet.altervista.org) but nobody answered mecould the about&about bit just be taken and uploaded somewhere? even if it's not pretty, just so that we can read it somehow (archive.org only had little bits of it archived anyway)
