wouldn't it also be appropriate for the original engineer (if it wasn't Abbiss) to get an engineering credit on the compilation album? I mean, you wouldn't just credit the guy who faded the track out early.

I think you're confusing Abbis with Stone but yeah, it can be tricky - producing a song has many stages...

I think Björk explained more accurately the role each person has when making a song in an interview once when she wanted to correct press about the credits given by journalists. I'll look it up - it good to re-read as it's very informative.

That's fascinating, thanks. Interesting reading and informative. I had seen the open letter before but in this context it's more than a correction regarding attribution and informs what I'm trying to do, which is understand who does what in the tracks.

Strange thing Björk was given the same mix with a difference of 0.5dB to compare. It's almost unnoticeable.
