Different Vinyl versions?

Postby odduck » Thu Dec 28, 2017 7:51 pm

Just wondering, in light of Utopia having a different tracklist on vinyl, if there are other :album6: songs that are different on vinyl (even as little as a few seconds of an intro or outro).

I Know :album6: Frosti and Aurora are on different sides, but you can still hear frosti on aurora :?
I haven't heard a :album10: vinyl rip, is that the case with Innocence and I See Who You Are too?

Any others?

the :album10: vinyl is very good i must say. the interludes(waters, effects, etc) on some songs are excluded.

innocence ends without the machine sounding effects and ringing noise.

i see who you are starts in that magnificent pipa solo(which was the edning of innocence of the ablum version.

vbv to pna is actually good too, i appreciated pna more without the rain effects however i still like to listen to it with the effects, especially when i listen tabula rasa going to pneumonia song

From what I recall of forum discussion, Frosti has a fadeout on it, and I think Aurora has a fadein

you are right, if i remember correctly frosti and aurora are the same that those dazed and confused promos. in the individual cd for frosti there is a fade out at the end and in the aurora cd the song starts with a fade in but you can hear the end of frosti. but i have frosti without fade out (2 minutes length i think) and aurora without fade in nor end of frosti, i don't where those came from? i downloaded from soulseek yearrrrs ago.

Just to clarify re Volta on vinyl, only the DMM release from 2008 and the colored vinyl from 2015 have the alternate no sound effect versions of songs. The DMM is still findable for a reasonable price on discogs and I highly recommend it! I haven't listed to the Volta CD versions in so long

i believe the colored vinyl release is the same dmm job as the 2008, just on cheap colored vinyl and in boring packaging lol.

That's cool (and easy to recreate from the CD :naughty: ). Do you own it?
