Cornucopia European tour 2019!

What a show - ONE OF THE MOST INCREDIBLE CONCERT EXPERIENCES i've had. Never heard a crowd at the o2 so quiet and respectful (and amazing to see so few people lifting their cameras up filming). Still digesting the visuals and the staging but it's her voice that's still so powerful and engaging. not dimmed at all and still so emotive. no one out there is putting on a show like this right now, truly unique and special. Seen her live three times now (Brixon academy back in 1994, albert hall in 2016 and now this... of course the brixton debut was special but to think that girl was able to construct a show like cornucopia 25 years later is incredible. she always gives a special shout to london and she did again and loved her 'flutes rock' scream. wonderful experience. to have played 'the hits' in this setting would not have been right, it was a beautiful utopia she created. please go if you can.

ps i wish to god it was but it wasn't filmed unfortunately (you'd need a hell of a lot more kit to cover it than the tripod cams stage front - they were for occasionally projecting her performance. i've never been to a gig this size where there weren't massive screens side of stage distracting you. meant everything was focused on the beautiful set.

PpS the O2 was packed, been to plenty of shows here and it was def 90% full including upper and floor.

Great to hear is was again amazing! I went for balcony seats especially in Brussels, because I wanted to be able to see everything, as I had already seen her up close twice last year The Brussels show was the only one seated so far?

wow, i wasn't even there but i am feeling mushy about how well it went. the reviews are wonderful!
(well apart from the telegraph but that's a crap newspaper for boring racists so who needs their praise anyway)

i take back all my doubts about the o2 as a venue for this show, she really transcended that space by the sounds of it. i want to say i'm surprised such a vast space was silently engrossed but then again it's a björk gig! that's really amazing

notes from glasgow :

bjork shop is selling 2 new music items : the album íslensk þjóðlög featuring songs like ísland farsælda frón and vísur vatnsenda-rósu and the album þorkel that features maríukvæði - both of these albums are performed by the hamrahlíð choir - this time i bought both cds and the bjork book : 34 scores for piano, organ, harpsichord and celeste

in glasgow they were distributing the hamrahlíðarkórinn photo to the audience just like in nyc

the choir presented a new song - different from the other two they debuted in london ! i will edit this post when i find out their titles

the hamrahlíð choir is promoting their albums : that is why they are changing setlists now

magical moment : the choir teacher þorgerður ingólfsdóttir asked the audience to sing along to sonnets/unrealities xi and cosmogony as if we were part of her music school and reprehended the ones who were not singing i got very emotional for being a part of that moment : i sat on row C in front of her !

by the end of body memory bjork made a slight nod to :enjoy:

the very very quiet glasgow audience hushed along to hidden place

the long hair pink and grey wig really does something to bjork : she was very sexy and even whipped her hair on various songs

out of all cornucopia concerts i went to : glasgow audience was the most serene ever ! security staff approached absolutely no one for the entire concert

f*** - ups :

she forgot various lyrics but i really enjoy this aspect about her performance

one of the hamrahlíð choirboys got tangled on the led screen threads and the audience went hysterical : he was charming though

some losss beats failed and bjork complained

she tripped on her high heels and almost fell by the end of tabula rasa

about losss beats : very similar to the end of enjoy performance filmed for the sheperds bush concert - bergur þórisson forgot the main beats of the end of the song and it was not impro because bjork went to him

what i really enjoy about attending all these dates is that there is always new stuff going on ! this is what i really love about the live concert experience and especially about bjork ‘ s concerts ! ! !

Personally hoping she comes to Los Angeles! maybe tours north america the same way she did Europe. but other countries are cool, too!

maybe cornucopia could evolve into a more acoustic sphere in the next year. a few flutes only concerts would be great and can revamp the setlist
