Try the triplet Atopos-In the Musicals-Dark Matter! It's a vibe!that cut is so deep it's gone underground! Love this tune so much, a real unsung hero!
Dark matter definitely suits the mood (as far as we know). I hope we get an organ at some point, they're made for caves!
Thank you! Discovering new stuff is always good and i'm no real gabber expert I will look your other playlists up on your profile for sure!
thanks! i love making playlists too!!
i made one after the guardian article and i updated it a bit.
there's less björk in mine (i'm in canada, so there's almost no b-sides and remixes older than biophilia on spotify) and it's gabber/hard techno heavy at the end, which i love since 1997 and it was a good opportunity to curate some of the classics available.

i also try to make a playlist every week with the majority of the new releases of the week mixed with older stuff i love or just discovered. i mostly make it for myself and a few friends, but feel free to look them up on my profile.
cool! yeah i love discovering new music and sharing it! i should have been a dj. i'll try the atopos-in the musicals-dark matter vibe for sure and you made me realise that dark matter (which i love!) was missing from my playlist! corrected it with the choir+organ version.Try the triplet Atopos-In the Musicals-Dark Matter! colin stetson erotically performing “between water and wind” on contrabass clarinet, taken from his album all this i do for glory released in 2017
thanks!! knew them, but never listened to that album. i added "drum courts–where corals lie" to my fossora playlist!i want to pin up one more musical thing on the moodboard if i may
the raw drumbeat combined with the clarinet arrangement on “atopos” reminded me of an album called hidden by these new puritans. some of you might know them, they did a remix of “mutual core” for björk a few years ago (they also had a livestreamed gig during the pandemic that took place in mr. henry dagg’s workshop where they performed with our old friend sharpsichord—so there are more connections)
i’m thinking especially about the outro to “fire–power” or “drum courts–where corals lie”, but the whole record is built around the dynamic between heavy beats and neoclassical woodwind parts. i’d say their arrangements are less angular and more pastoral but there’s definitely some similarity in the music being anchored by a heavy bottom end (and some of the songs on the album—like this one—betray a reichian influence they seem to share with björk)
you can listen to the album here, it’s already over 12 years old (jesus time flies!) but still very good
was i supposed to find out this guy is a hottie in a cheesy fanboy thread??

oh, hey you!the midnight gospel (original netflix series from a couple years ago) has a beautiful tribute to the main character's mother that reminds me of ancestress.
the colour palette was very vulnicura!^somehow this reminds me of the "love, death&robots" episode "the very pulse of the machine".
very atmospheric.
animator mason lindroth is creating these fun fungal-looking characters that i think would be a perfect fit for a fossora visualization.
the game is too confusing for me to really understand the story or anything, but the visual side is excellent!i didn't know it was part of a bigger project! i'm definitely gonna look into it now.
