endenogatai

Hey, I’ve been a Björkfan all my life from age 14 untill now (39y old) and I still consider generous palmstroke from the Vespertine era as one of her most intimate songs. for many years now i checked and rechecked the web for the meaning of the word endenogatai, a weird word that she sings at the beginning of the song.
i’m obsessed with that part of the song and i want a tattoo of it on my arm. but i just don’t want to risk it as long as the meaning of it eludes me :-). the only thing i found was something like ‘a difficult relationship’ in Japanese somewhere on a forum. but is this really the case? or is it a made-up word?

any insights into this are very much appreciated!

Warmth,
Dries from Belgium

yep, I would agree with jp4151, just gibberish. up until medúlla you can hear her dropping that word or variations thereof in a lot of her songs, but they're never contained in the lyrics, and they often change when she performs the songs live, so I would definitely say they're just ad libs
