I feel like Björk might be past having a "home producer" (Nellee Hooper, Mark Bell, Arca...) especially as she has gotten more confident in producing and arranging herself over the decades, like she mentioned with the Orkestral concerts. Fossora also came at a very peculiar time with lockdown and Arca becoming much busier with her own records and popstardom, Vulnicura and Utopia are two sides of the same coin meanwhile. So I think Arca could show up in a few places but i'm kinda expecting Björk albums to become a bit more "curatorial" rather than having one or a few main collaborators

I feel like she absolutely will work with arca again, especially since she said she wanted to do for Fossora with her initially but couldn't due to covid, it shows she feels they havent fully explored what they could do together, and I think they could do much more, I remember being quite turned off by arca's prod when vulnicura came out but over the years I grow to really appreciate her production style and quality, I think bjork has had very few strong connection with other musicians like this, at least on this level, probably only mark bell could compare, AND as we know THEY WORKED together for years (more or less involved depending on the project but bell was always here). bjork seems to be so stimulated by arca, seeing the recent dj sets last year... im sure theres more to come, at leat I hope so

i think their musical marriage that peaked with utopia is behind them, they both moved away from that merging period, but i wouldn’t be surprised if arca showed up on a track or two in the future, the way mark bell appeared on medúlla or biophilia, or nellee on post—more as a guest, or a friend lending a helping hand, rather than someone who puts their stamp on the whole project

however i can’t really imagine björk’s nebulous melodies and song structures meshing that well with arca’s current style—the two worked well in the mid-10s when arca’s own music seemed much more fluid, experimental and open-ended. tbh i haven’t been that impressed by her recent-ish output that just seems like same recycled slow reaggeton beats. but you never know, maybe a remix à la arcamarine? or is it too predictable? she would have to take a break from beefing with sevdaliza on instagram first though lol

She actually played a bunch of new music on Discord after that and there's still a lot of wild experimental stuff in the vaults lol so who knows

good! because the last double single felt again like a second- (or third-) rate prada/rakata redux—i know these two tracks are her biggest hits and probably brought her some substantial coin and tons of new fans, and i understand how hard it is to make ends meet as a musician these days, but i miss her… well, less pandering approach, i guess
