Have you heard about Björk today?
__________________________________________

Today when I turned on the TV it was about Iceland. They said that 80 % of the people there thinks that they are good at singing. And then they said: "You won't find Björk here because the icelandic people doesn't like celebrities"

I just want to tell you about a day my brother gratuated and our relatives were there:

(20 people sitting in a room chatting. Then my mom suddenly says to me: )

- Tell them who you are listening to

(everybody gets quiet, looking at me)
(i answer: )
- Björk

(everybody starts whispering and looking at eachother wondering)

- Björk? says my aunt Which Björk?

- Björk Gudmundsdottir!, (I say)

Now everybody looks like this: D:

- How old is she?

- 43 I think

- oh :|

It was a weird situation :dizzy:

That makes no sense.

When people come over, my mom is always like "Karl's got some nice music. He's got... Björk." And it's weird cause she doesn't listen to Björk. The nice music I have to them is like, Feist and the Dears and Broken Social Scene. And then I listen to their nice music and it's just weird when she brings up Björk.

Umhum.

oh oh oh I watched a movie the other day that was set in Iceland...like 1950's Iceland....it was called something like...the call of the seagulls or seagull's cry or something....has anyone seen it? very good movie and the main actress so gorgeous and oh they were all so hot anyway...hahaha uhm uhm yes yes my björk experience for the day is super fun...ok so i'm living alone right now, (boo hoo poor me :( ) ok but that's a whole different sauce of a different taco, what brings me here is that, as we all know!!!! this weekeend is supposed to end the daylight saving time so we were supposed to set our clocks one hour back....huh only i didn't have any form of communication with a human being this whole weekend...(ok maybe a friend who called to go out on friday and then totally dissed me!!!! i'm still mad at him!!! arrrogh!!!! >:( ) so I woke up this monday at 6:50 am (late as usual) and was running and hoping i'd make it to my 7:00 am class (to which i have to make a 11 minute run as I'm always late, but i already stated that, ugh, ) so i'm crossing one of the main avenues i have to cross only to find out there's not a single car on the street!!!!! what the eff!!!! (that's what i thought!) so by the time i got to the auditorium were classes are held i knew there was something smoky about the whole situation..(like, the whole place was deserted!!!!) i finally had a faint idea of what was going on...then .i remembered my sister saying something about the daylight saving time ending , this happened sometime around wednesday...but i didnt think she was talking about that same weekend!!!!! okay, so I got at 6:05 a.m. to my 7:00 am class. BIG DEAL! hahahaah ugh, i was so :dizzy: :dizzy: :dizzy: , finally, to end my frustration...i took my cd player out (i know, with your gizmos and whatdayacallit , so archaic of me) and started listening to a cd i burnt to a friend of mine (again, a whole different story) and then in track 8 Who Is It (Vitalic Remix) started playing and oh, the bliss...haha, my day turned back on track from there on....i wanted to dance right there...but the janitor would think i was a little coo coo...so i refrained. Anyway.. i danced, in my head...and sang and everything.... so...i hope it was a good story...whadayathink?!?!?!? :P

hugs to all

Lmao. Cocteau Twins <3

If I'm trying to weird people out, I'll just say something like...Björk, and if they ask who she is, i just say "that lady who dresses like a swan and beats reporters up'. Maybe add Dead Can Dance, Enigma and Boney M into it.

Bai ze wai, "Venus as a Boy" was used in a Polish TV station in a preview. I was talking to my father with the TV on, suddenly stopped, listened for a second and said: "Oh, it's Venus as a Boy!". And then I started singing. My parents think I am a Björk maniac .

Actually her birthday is 21th November 1965, and those posts were made on last year's September.
