Gigography additions/corrections

Gigography additions/corrections

Postby vos » Tue Mar 27, 2007 9:23 am

Say, do i have to mail somone to say that the gigography is wrong.

Bjork is comming to Belgium to play at the Rock Werchter Festival on June 28th.
But in the gigiography it says that she is comming to play in Leuven on july 27th.
I think this is a mistake. Not that i do mind, she's welcome everyday in Belgium.

Cheers,

Tom.

Her first concert wasn't on 01.01.1993 in Manchester, but on 19.08.1993 in Forum, London.

The MTV Unplugged show took place in Fountain Studios, London on 01.09.1994, NOT in New York, 07.11.1994 as the gigography suggests.

She did a concert in Budapest as well on her Post tour in 1995, which isn't included.

Just a few update hints. :shifty:

well, Lina, then squeeze in the 9th of june 1994 concert in Milano too, it
took place in a small concert hall (1000 people) called City Square,
at the time and this is my ticket as a proof!

Still missing from the new gigography?

8 july 2007:
Björk
Cultuurpark Westergasfabriek, Amsterdam
http://www.westergasfabriek.nl/engels_welcome.php

sales have started Saturday 10 April.
tickets ?39.00

Scans of the tickets:
In the dutchies thread:
http://4um.bjork.com/viewtopic.php?t=97 ... start=1060

More info and a picture of an ad:
http://4um.bjork.com/viewtopic.php?t=12420

The park can hold up to 18.000 visitors, but the organisation is aiming between 10.000 and 15.000. So it's a big gig!

I can't proof a gig or add a correction, but I just want to say I love this thread.
If gig-o.graphy will be wiki-style-editation-capable for a while I think it will help MWC to collect all possible important information and photos quite quick.

Thanks a lot for the gigography, the unique project for the true fans!

Why is the July 21st gig in Villa Manin (Udine) in Italy not on the official list?

It's listed here:
http://www.villamanincontemporanea.it/VMmusica_e.html

The tickets are being sold here: http://www.ticketone.it/chooseProduct.j ... 2007BJ0721

so it must be official.

Year 1998
August 28 Buenos Aires Argentine Festival

The location is wrong. It wasn't a festival, it was a recital in a theater called "Teatro Opera", and Buenos Aires is mispelled (It's Buenos Aires, not Buenos Airies). I was there!!!

Just a grammatical problem -

For the May 2nd, 2007 Radio City Music Hall concert, the event took place in the USA, not the Usa (capitalize)

Sorry, but that has been grating on my proofreading nerves for a while, especially since the other American gigs all have it the proper way <3

Björk's next gig (Oct 26, in Brazil) will actually take place in Rio de Janeiro (opener: Antony & The Johnsons), not São Paulo. The São Paulo gig is scheduled two days later on the same Festival, on Oct 28. Hope the gigography can be corrected soon. You can check this information

As I had previously mentioned in other threads:
YOU SHOULD SPECITY "SOUTH KOREA" IN THE NEW GIGS, SINCE SEOUL IS IN SOUTH KOREA. NORTH KOREA IS A DIFFERENT TERRITORY. THEREFORE, TO SAY JUST KOREA IS CERTAINLY WRONG.

Thanks.
