It's an interesting point.I'm getting mine when the tickets go on sale in a couple of hours. They better not sell out!
oh noARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH!
I can't get the holiday at work! It's a Sunday so I'll need the Monday off as well. I'm so pissed off now! Why did I ever move away from Manchester?
Looks good to me. Interesting venue. Are those seats at the back just there for the taking?I love Castlefield. It has some kind of weird industrial-revolution beauty about it and it's got a great atmosphere in the summer but I just don't like this arena as a venue, especially since it'll be either glaring sunlight until 10pm or probably summer rain.
I wonder if there's an early curfew as well since there's quite a lot of apartments and hotels around the area.
Thoughts?
Yeah, it'll be first come first served, very Fantasmic. If we can be bothered getting there early and waiting I'm just not sure whether to grab a seat or get a spec at the front near the stage. They're like "step seats" if that makes sense.
It'll be a free for all by the looks of it, and there was only 1 ticket option to select.
I live in Swansea, South Wales and I will have to find a hotel. By the way I am retired and believe I am Bjork's oldest fan.ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH!

It doesn't look anywhere near big enough for 5,000. I think a rucksack full of snacks and a long queue are in order. This is now sold out! I read that it has a capacity of up to 5,000 too!
Some places say 8,000 but that's when they have a large screen thing on (like the world cup).It doesn't look anywhere near big enough for 5,000. I think a rucksack full of snacks and a long queue are in order.
'Early' being? Would 4pm be considered early? Some places say 8,000 but that's when they have a large screen thing on (like the world cup).It doesn't look anywhere near big enough for 5,000. I think a rucksack full of snacks and a long queue are in order.
At the Biophilia gigs it was quite easy to get to the front because people turned up later but this is like a mini-festival gig so getting there early is probably a must to get to the front.
I might just do that and not care where we end up.No idea. I've never been to this venue before. I'd assume it's like every other gig where fan boys/girls get there an hour or so early but there's a few pubs with beer gardens around that area so people might just wait in those for a while.
lol for the biophilia concerts for mif 2011 i was queueing unnecessarily 3 hours ahead of time'Early' being? Aye we done that and ended up at the front still. I think that gig was different because there was quit a lot of "front" since it was in the round. At Biophilia we hung back and had a few beers & still got a great spot - also bumped into Patrick Wolf in pub! Same strategy this time I reckon. Really looking forward to it x
If you book now the Campanile is around £40 - your bog standart "Travelodge" kind of place. It's about a 10 minute walk from the venue, though. Otherwise look on something like Booking.com - I had a quick look and they seem to be £75 upwards, some in the £200s (probably because of bloody event rates!)Does anyone know of any reasonably priced hotels/b&b near the venue?
Many thanks
Gerry
I'll be there. Here's some photos of the venue:
