I don't mind the mask. It's cute, actually. But the fact that she's been covering her face for a while now, makes me worry she decides one day she doesn't want to be seen anymore and slowly starts disappearing from the public eye like Agnetha Fältskog from ABBA

No, The Cinematic Orchestra is a band (jazz/electronic... not an actual orchestra

) that Manu sometimes tours with. They are also at the festival, so he's doing two gigs there.

That version just came like an orgasm, really beautiful and glad there's a very nice bootleg of that final Paris residency show

This version made me really appreciate that song. May-be the live choir is missing in the Ostrava version for me. I'm generally not a huge fan of recorded vocals.

No, it divides the space letting the percussion and electronic isolated, and I really think that those concerts in NYC had the most neglected stage above all björk tours.

so here’s my report from ostrava
don't expect any big musical analysis, it's just some my notes

pictures are mine and from my friends. videos are mine. they have some picture glitches at the end unfortunately, but sound’s nice. I wrote it with a lot of photos and videos, so it’s kinda long, hope you don’t mind it.
we came to ostrava at 3pm, bjork began at 8pm. so we had a lot of time. i was nervous about the places, of course i wanted to be in the first row. but area around main stage was closed yet

i was very surprised the stage had a catwalk and we wondered if she uses it
security guy told us it will be opened after sound check. so we went to explore the area. it’s really nice because this festival takes place in very industrial space of an old steel mill.

sound check began at 4pm, bjork was there. at first on the stage, later she walked to the tower for sound guys.

haxan joined her later

here are few videos from soundcheck, you can see bjork walks on one of them

before 7pm we run to the stage and got super places in front row in the corner between stage and catwalk.
bjork began on time at 8pm with stonemilker. I was nearly sure she’d have the same dress and mask as in trencin. so i was very surprised when she appeared in beautiful simple white dress but with big ”imperial trooper”mask. i hoped for embroided mask so we could see at least something. but this one was nearly really like helmet. she sometimes even had a problem to get the mic to mouth.
my friends didn’t like the mask at all, they didn’t like they couldn’t see her face. of course I’d be happier if I could see her face but i expected she’d be covered, so it wasn’t surprise and disappointment for me.

lionsong

family was one of the best moments for me. i really like this song a lot since the tour, especially the end is very ethereal. after second half bjork decided to use the catwalk and walked down just around us. it was so nice. when we turned to left and back to watch her, it was kinda magical for me, because there was orange/pink sunset behind her, far behind the trees and the music was in the ethereal part, really amazing moment, one of the best for me.

notget was good with pyrotechnic. there was big firework above the stage but we couldn’t see it. we saw only the pyro on the stage.

notget continued directly to hunter. gosh, that was really something, sooo dark and anger. i didn’t realize how anger this song could be. i totally loved it, one of the best songs that night.

then the biggest surprise – unravel. i didn’t expect it at all so at first tones i couldn’t even recognize the song. but very nice, kinda new version again, it sort of brought tears to my eyes

bachelorette was one song that i wouldn’t miss. i’d be happier for another song. but it’s just me that i’m not a fan of this song.

on the other hand i extremely enjoyed possible maybe which I hoped for she’d sing it. i sang it whole with her

army of me was one big rave, even wilder than on volta tour. crowd really enjoyed it a danced a lot.
haxan did great job with electronics during whole show, it was dark and anger, i loved it.

then 5 years, oooh, so good, i was hopping for this one too. totally fits to this tour.

then quicksand with biophilia app notes projection came. it was ok but this song and mouth mountra i’d happily replace with some others (atom dance and maybe some older song). they’re kinda difficult and i think especially nonfans didn’t enjoyed them at all. they’re not songs for festival (or for me).

one of the last ones was wanderlust. i kinda like this song generally but it was like phhf, wanderlust at first.. but then i enjoyed it after all a lot

mutual core was good at the wild part. but i don’t like the organ beginning. singing was ok, it’s just that I don’t like it generally.

hyperballad was amazing. i was little bit surprised that bjork didn’t talk to us at all, she only thanked after most of the songs in czech (well, she tried

). i expected that she’d say at least something like thanks for tonight and introduce the band as usually, but nothing. hyperballad began without any speech. she didn't leave the stage before it (so there wasn't actually any encore. but i think it's good, she had time for one more song than in trencin). at the end of the song bjork waved to us and opened the mask a little. she stood at us kinda long on catwalk, we were singing, i think she liked that

than she shouted the last "dě – ku – je" and disappeared and ninety minutes of ecstasy ended. i and some other people were asking for the setlist but the crew ignored us. i tried to ask one security guy to be that kind to get it for me. he didn’t want to. then a young security boy came, i asked him nicely to get it for me and he went to the guy on stage and brought it. it’s little bit teared but i don’t mind. it’s the setlist directly from bjork’s mic

so that was my second bjork’s gig. i enjoyed it much more than in melt! 2008, dunno why, but i did (of coursed i loved melt too)
