It was a great show but no new songs added to the set list unfortunately.

After she introduced the orchestra, she announced that tonight was very emotional for her because it's her last vulnicura concert. So I guess wherever bjork digital travels after spain there won't be anymore acoustic concerts.

Also makes me wonder what that means for her summer festival shows. Realistically nothing since there was a biophilia festival show after the alexander palace concert (which she stated was the last biophilia concert). But hopefully she debuts new stuff at fyf in july.

I never knew "Pluto" was supposed to have accents, actually, i always assumed it's in english

This was the ONE moment I was waiting for the whole show! I was so relived she did it and with such force!

The concert was spectacular, especially the first half. I've listened to all of the bootlegs of the strings gigs and last night was definitely her best performances of the vulnicura songs. Stonemilker and especially History of Touches were flawless. HoT in particular had a lot of surprises in the arrangement, much softer and more supportive of her vocals and the lyrics.

The second half was a little subdued. She tended to sing a lost in whispers, which worked beautifully for the Vulnicura material but with Aurora, Joga and Vertebrae by Vertebrae I really was hoping she would let loose. She did in spots (the above video!) but she was very quiet. Also didn't appreciate some of the differences in the arrangements from the previous acoustic performances. Joga in particular sounded different, much slower and without the buildup of the strings at the end of the London shows.

But it's hard to complain when the night was so beautiful. I hope, I really, really hope, she releases a Vulnicura Strings Live CD. These shows were so great that it would be a shame for it to languish unreleased like the majority of the Union Chapel gigs.

may i say that the acoustics in this hall was amazing. i was in the balcony and it looks far but the setting of the concert hall is almost vertical than incline (from the balcony if that makes sense)

ill say that h.o.t was an amazing version, it started soft and her voice was soft....than the other bootlegs that i have heard(but then it is probably because it is a bootleg).... but i felt that how she sang the h.o.t. was what i want to hear how it supposed to be sang. and she did an amazing job and with the soft strings..


black lake, it was pretty good......until most audience clapped after the second verse(if i remember).....it ruined the whole black lake mood......

family, the cello solo was amazing than other bootlegs i have heard. and the light projections in the concert hall made the song and the performance even better, turning from dark (1st verse of the song)
--> dark purple (2nd verse with cello solo having the spotlight)
--> lilac -->
(last verse-healing) slowly gradually bigger bright soft white light -----

until the concert hall was all lit up where u can see the amazing concert hall set up...


vulnicura first half was an amazing experince

the second half was hmmmmmmm not as good, i was expecting another song(atom dance, pagan poetry, etc,) ... i didnt really like the 'too too too too singing on almost every ending of the song.

although she performed the song with quirkiness and energy(with the notget rocker gesture 'sign of the horns') , which i enjoyed, her diva pose before the mouth mantra starts, her dance in quicksand. light projections where pretty good as well on the second half and her outfit/dress was totally a good choice where it seems like the light projections reflects on her dress showing like a moving neon purple light. (although i hate the mask that she wore tho

I'm glad the vulnitour only had 16 shows. biophilia and volta were damaging enough for her voice. i think she only should perform like every two weeks to let her voice rest. and don't drink alcohol during shows...

You guys do realise she's over fifty now and will never sound as she did back in the 90s, right? It's not because her voice is ‘damaged’—if it were, she probably wouldn’t perform at all—but because of her age. You can either accept her new delivery or spend time getting sad/angry that she can’t do them vocal acrobatics like she used to two decades ago. It’s not her choice, it’s the merciless passage of time.

And let’s be honest, she’s still an incredible singer. The tone and texture of her voice is almost always on point, her vocals are strong and forceful, and even if she can’t belt some of the high notes anymore she’s in control and creative enough to improvise around a melody and not go out of key. The only thing that irks be sometimes is her timing (but that’s always been an issue) and I admit the too-too-too ad-libs are a bit childish. But then again, the dolphin squeaks from the 90s were as well.

Of course, but if she was touring extensively, it would be a lot worse. Her voice could be done in a few years if she exhausted herself on a proper tour. I do hope she'll take a break after the summer festival to rest and then record a final version of the vocals for the new album.

Her first version of (as heard in the app) is fine. But the one from MIF, that ended up on is breathtaking.
