Good Evening, we are glad to announce that SOU festival continues its program of 2017. In partnership with ROOMS HOTELS, we are honored to present two concerts by the legendary Icelandic musician and one of the most influential artists of our times, Björk. The performances, featuring the strings of Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra, will take place at Tbilisi Concert Hall and State Opera House of Georgia.

• Tbilisi Concert Hall - October 31 - 21:00. The tickets will be available from Monday, 10:00 AM at box office of the concert hall and online at www.tkt.ge. Ticket prices from: 50 to 570 GEL.

• State Opera House of Georgia - November - 21:00. The tickets will be available from Monday, 10:00 AM at box office of the Opera house and online at www.tkt.ge. Ticket prices from: 80 to 750 GEL.

I wouldn't be surprised if she dropped Black Lake and threw in The Gate and a new song somewhere, maybe in the encore. And even if she does it doesn't mean they will sound the same during the Utopia tour. Anyway, remember she recently said she will start figuring out how to tour Utopia next year. She's probably going to enjoy the release period and the holidays first.

And hopefully drop another single and some remixes before she officially starts touring the new album next year. I mean, The Gate is the lead single, but not in the traditional sense. It feels like a transitional song and the next single or track 2 of the album is the real first Utopia track. Know what I mean? Maybe even the heart of the album? Can't wait to hear the other songs. Come on november!

one of the reykjavik concerts was recorded(video) but since this was never released i guess something wasn't good about the recording? Maybe the georgia concert is planned to make a better recording, otherwise it would be weird to plan another strings concert even though the vulnicura era is pretty much over

Icelandic musician Bjork will hold concerts in Tbilisi Concert Hall on October 31 and at Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theater on November 3. As organizers stated at a press conference today, Bjork will perform together with the National Symphonic Orchestra of Georgia. She will introduce her latest work Vulnicura to the Georgian audience, as well as songs from her musical past.

According to the organizers, new songs will also be performed in both concerts.

vulnicura strings show, as speculated, but nice to have written confirmation that there will also be new songs performed; woodwinds section, come through!

edit: oops, just picked up on the fact it's only the strings section performing with her, seems rather unlikely she'd rearrange the flute parts for strings just for this performance. we'll have to wait and see, i suppose, not long to go now.

great news! but I can also see it happening that on the end of the we see the setlist with some new songs and we don't have a recording of it because people don't know these songs and only film stuff like jóga and other songs they know

apparently there are 25 other countries represented in the ticket sales.

but she has never like bootlegs as far as things went.

i have a feeling this is just a practice and sample concert to excite all of us for the new album. we will all have posts from those who went to send us buying 1 of everything.

what makes people think there'll be new songs. the string players in georgia will have been rehearsing vulni-strings arrangements remotely. she said she's been doing new song rehearsals with a flute band in iceland. so i dunno, but it might be unlikely the georgian string players will have had access to new songs.

i'm not saying there won't be any new songs, because who knows maybe there will, but i am just suggesting that people don't get their hopes up too much, don't expect new songs. just be prepared that it may be one final vulni show...

I still wouldn't get my hopes up. "According to the organizers, new songs will also be performed in both concerts" - the question is, how did the organizers get this information? Has she already emailed them the setlists? I'd say it's more likely they're just assuming it, based on the fact that she has a new album coming very soon.

I'm not saying she's definitely not playing anything new, but I'd take this bit of information with a grain of salt. If it's indeed a strings-only gig, I doubt she's had the time to write another set of arrangements for a string orchestra (for just two stand-alone shows), especially since she has lately been working on translating the new record to a live performance with a 12-piece flute ensemble.

Unless I missed something and Arca's playing with her? Then perhaps it would be possible to preview a new track or two, if the new album features some electronics-only pieces (think "History of Touches").

Don't forget she made a strings arrangement for pagan poetry and played it only once. I wouldn't be surprised if she played the gate but i'm hoping for more, not counting on it though

^ Good point, but this doesn't mean she planned it to play it only once. Maybe she was initially planning to make it a staple of the string shows, but for some reason "Vertebrae by Vertebrae" (which seemed to replace PP in the setlist) somehow worked better for her? I don't know why she never performed it again, but I'm pretty sure she didn't write a whole new orchestral arrangement thinking Imma do it only once!!1!

It'd be cool if she debuted at least "The Gate", but then again - is Arca playing with her? It's a heavily programmed track, I'm not 100% sure it'd work with a strings-only arrangement (...well, "Pluto" did, so maybe I should shut up). Oh well, we'll know next week!

she did debut pluto and a few other new songs before the album at the tibetan freedom concert in new york city years and years ago.

also, as already mentioned, pluto is a heavy electronic track and she has played it during the vulnicura with strings tour dates. she is well known for rearranging songs for concerts. I have no worries she can do it for this concert. The planning for this concert is longer than just 1 month.

finally, I'm still looking for very close to the front tickets for the november 3 concert in tbilisi.

as the new video in the advertisement indicates, at least a little more work exists beyond the gate. Also, isn't the whole album almost out now? The new songs have been waiting for the right moment and she is known to play new material before release.

I will say that in about 2 weeks I will post the opensource set list as a .pdf

for all, who don't know me, I call it "opensource set list" because it is free to distribute.

The .pdf set list will have alterations from the original, just enough so that it will be obvious with a very close examination but not obvious when simply looking at it.

While it can still be posted on eBay to scam people, the .pdf version will be the same as every other fake set list on ebay ... even with the fake autograph added later. Hopefully, the thought of it being an altered copy will guide people away from scamming others.

it is meant to be a remembrance of that night, long after the thin tickets have faded.
(just save the .pdf and re-print!)
