happy birthday to...

Postby Simontreal » Fri Feb 18, 2022 1:24 pm

stick around for joy is 30 today !

an unloved album by many, a pop/rock album, maybe the most "regular" think our queen has done.

is there older fans here who could tell us how they lived that era ? was it a huge disappointment ? or excitment to see them in the uk top 20 singles chart ?

I jump on the train mid-93, so i would like to know what was the feeling a year before !

..i only remember "hit" being played on the radio occasionally. An underrated album indeed but it reminds me of the b-52s which i thought was cool.

This was the time that I started liking the Sugarcubes.

I remember Hit being played on MTV quite a bit. I knew about them before, as there was a presenter on Superchannel who really liked them and often played their videos. But their music didn't really click with me until Hit. A friend of my sister had the cd, so he made a copy on tape for us

No idea how it was received, I didn't know any other Björk fans besides my sisters. But I really loved to album.
