Björk discography in Hi-Res 24-Bit/96 kHz Audio

Postby childwithlepro » Fri Jan 12, 2024 11:56 pm

i want to update my collection and wondered: anything from Björk’s discography prior to Vulnicura available to purchase in Hi-Res lossless 24-Bit/96 kHz audio (tr24)? I checked the usual sites (7digital, bleep, hdtracks, qobuz, juno, Qobuz) and they have some of her stuff in lossless 24-Bit/96 kHz stereo, but the back catalogue is mainly lossless 16-Bit/44.1 kHz stereo (CD quality).

this is what i found so far:

Vulnicura
Vulnicura Strings
Vulnicura Live
Vulnicura Remix Project Series
Utopia
Afterwards
Fossora
Atopos (sideproject Remix)
Ovule (feat. Shygirl) (Sega Bodega Remix)
Woe (I See It From Your Side) (Björk Remix)
Oral

Anything else?

What store has Kick i in 24/96? I thought it was only 24/44.

Blissing me [harp and serpentwithfeet] were also in the official store in 24/96.

:album11: is/was on hdtracks.com in 24/96 with bonus tracks including Náttúra - however, 3 tracks on it are only 24/48: cosmogony, Hollow (original extended version) and dark Matter (with choir and organ).

On and Ever Onward (Live from Housing Works) was also released as a single (24/96) to promote the reissues of MWO, and I think the new files (live and rehearsals) are also 24/96 in some stores, while the original album included in the reissue stayed 16/44.

Vinyl rips of the older albums are 24-bit. You will find them on many places on internet, though, of course, not sold oficially. and they really do sound good and are very clear sonically.
legal way to get the older material in 24-bit does not exist yet.

Oh you’re right it is 44 kHz, my bad. I made this folder with all my hi-res files and somehow afterwads made it in there. Sorry.

I know of the existence of vinyl rips and such, but that’s not exactly the real deal...

Sadly, there’s no more. I guess it’s a matter of time to catch up with technology. however i'm clueless as to why some of Björk's recent releases are in 24/96 and some aren't? (i.e. country creatures).

I hope Björk continues to put out her future releases as 24/96. You can really tell the difference. At least I feel I can. Ovule (Sega Bodega Remix) for example, sounds amazing to my ears.
